OOTD: I Feel So Vintage Today ( 15 July 2012 )

It's a bit sunny today, thank God, it's bright and the sky is clear. It's church day again and we came late, still we went to church because we cannot miss Father Manny's homily.

This Sunday, I decided to wear my black puff sleeved top by Papaya (a gift from my mum's friend Ate Tina). I paired the top with my floral balloon skirt that we bought from a thrift store. For my shoes, I wore my off white glittery ballet flats by SoleMate that my mum bought for me.

I did a light make up for this look because I was in a hurry but still I looked dainty. This photo was taken by my brother Tony using his Samsung Galaxy S3 and he said that he was trying out a photo effect on his phone. I became an instant model for his experiment shot and I had an ootd shot which is great.

That was all about my OOTD for that Sunday.

OOTD: High Low Stripes ( 8 July 2012 )

"Fashion is architecture: it is a matter of proportions." -- Coco Chanel

I have never thought of proportions before, but when I started  watching shows about fashion on TV or on YouTube and reading magazines I started to learn about anything and everything about fashion & style. I also saw items that are very interesting and I want to try all of them.

This Sunday, since it is warm today, I decided (actually it was my mum who told me to wear it) to wear my black high low hemmed skirt that was MTO (by ate Bellay), paired it with my black & gray striped tank top and my gray cardigan (from a store in 168 Divisoria Mall). I realized that my skirt was too short when we were already in the chapel but no worries it's not that short. I wore my black peep toe ankle booties by Matthews (which I don't wear anymore because it's so uncomfortable) with the outfit because it fits the look well.

For my make-up, I focused on my lips more and I used my Ever Bilena Longwear Lipstick in the shade Eager and had my eyes lined with my Ever Bilena Liquid Eyeliner in Black and did a little wing at the end. My blush is a pale pink color in my Body Collection Mini Make-Up Palette. I also bought a new tube of Maybelline's Baby Lips Lip Balm in Smoothing Cherry which I adore so much. I also had my Rosey Chiq Hair Extension on which I also adore.

That is my outfit of the day and I adore this look that I put together. Have a great Sunday to y'all!

OOTD: Floral July 1st + Mini Haul ( 1 July 2012 )

Two days ago, I was surprised when my mum gave me two tees from UniQlo. She gave me a floral tee by Laura Ashley and a black & white striped tee (the exact tee that I was staring at when my cousin, Ate Jhoy, and I visited UniQlo last week) by Barbie. As you all know, I adore stripes and floral prints so having these two new items in my closet is so great.

It's the 1st of July and I want to open this month with floral prints. I wore my pink floral tee by Laura Ashley and paired it with my hot pink bandage skirt. I had my pink wedges by Parisian Jr. to add another pop of pink to my outfit. I am so girly today and I liked how vintage looking the floral tee is, which I adore so much. I also wore my hair extensions to add a more girly effect on the whole outfit. I missed having long hair that is why I wear my hair extensions that often.

After the mass, we went home and changed because we will be going to SM Mall of Asia to shop for a gift for my mum's friend. I changed my skirt into a distressed gray shorts to make the outfit more casual. I bought my ever trusted black chained bag by Secosana. I also wore my favorite pair of flip flops (it is so obvious because the polka dots already faded) by Banana Peel. I had simple make-up and was able to try my mum's new lip gloss by Revlon which I am not able to get what shade it is.

I love how my mum captured my awkwardness in this shot. Kudos to my pretty mum.

OOTD: Of Purples and Greens ( 26 June 2012 )

This is a late post for my OOTD last Sunday, 24 June 2012, because I was too busy with my application. Last Sunday, I wore my wrap around dress in purple and green and I paired it with my Charles and Kheith ballet flats in silver.

For my accessories, I just wore random earrings and my silver flower ring that I bought from a store at Market Market in Taguig. Sorry for my ugly hands, that is as normal as it gets.

I had my hair extensions on and I played with my hair as soon as we got home. I tried to duplicate ThatsHeart's messy bun but it was a fail. (hahaha!) I had fun doing it though, how I wish my hair will grow longer faster.

Good news, I have a job! Yehey ! I got hired at TeleTech Roxas as a Technical Support Representative (although I applied for a CSR position) and it's for AT&T Uverse. I love how it's still AT&T but with a different account. I am so looking forward to learn more and gain more knowledge as a TechSupport.

OOTD: A Gloomy Sunday

Happy Fathers' Day to all the fathers today! It's gloomy but I don't want this day to be boring and sad. This Sunday, just like what our family do every week, we went to De La Salle University Medical Center's Twin Hearts of Jesus and Mary Chapel to hear the mass. It's the 11th Sunday in ordinary time and green is still the color so we wore green today.

For my outfit, I chose my dark green puffed sleeve top by Kamiseta, with my bandage skirt and gray cover up that was made by my mum's designer. I paired my silver ballet flats by Charles & Kheith with this outfit just because I don't wear them that often (they are a bit uncomfortable). I just want it to be simple so that I could still go out to the grocery afterwards and not look over dressed.

The make-up that I wore is just simple because I was in a rush to finish. I just did my eyebrows and my signature winged eyeliner for my eyes, a peachy blush and pink lips.
I had minimal accessories also, I just had my vintage owl necklace that I bought from a shop at 168 Divisoria Mall and my silver hoop earrings from SM Accessories. I also had my hair extension by Rosey Chiq Hair Extensions braided for a chic look.

We went to SM SaveMore in Salitran to do the grocery and I asked my mum if she could buy me a new lipstick and she did. I chose this red lipstick with pink undertones by Ever Bilena and it's the Ever Bilena Longwear Lipstick in the shade Eager. I love how smooth it is on the lips and it has a little shimmer to it. I would want to compare it with my NYX Round Lipstick in Doll because it has a similar shade.

OOTD: Just Another Vintage Sunday ( 10 June 2012 )

It's a warm Sunday, 6 June 2012, and it's time for us to go to mass. We've been having a very humid climate these days that is why it's hard to dress up and layer clothes. I have been loving vintage pieces lately, actually anything that is vintage is so eye catching to me.

I have this vintage top with puffed sleeves that was given by my mum's boss. It's pink and it has intricate lace design on the chest by Jopie Caballaro. I had this top for almost four (4) years now and it's the first time that I've worn it and I had a lot of compliments for it. I paired it with my high waisted skirt in black by Freeway. The shoes that I wore is my black ballet flats by Untitled, with it's hardware details, gives the whole look a rock chic feel. I had a stack of silver bangles that I borrowed from my mum which she bought from different shops.

I had my hair extensions from Rosey Chiq Hair Extensions here and I tied it on the left side of my head for a simple look. I put a flower clip on the hair tie to add glam to my hair since it's just lazily tied up.

I tried using my Nichido Liquid Eyeliner in black to make a light winged eye effect. I love the opaque black color of the liner and how smooth it glides on my lids. I had nude colors on my lids also because I don't want to be too over the top with my make-up for church. I had a pink blush on the apples of my cheeks and a pink lip with my NYX Round Lipstick in the shade Doll.

That is all about the outfit that I had today, any suggestions on what shops I can find more vintage items?

My New Clip On Hair Extensions + OOTD ( 3 June 2012 )

I have had short hair for quite a while now that is why I decided to purchase hair extensions to experience the feeling of having long hair. The longest my hair has reached was at least 15in or so. I bought my Sexy Waves hair extension in Dark Brown from Rosey Chiq Hair Extensions, which is an online shop, and I loved the texture of the hair. It's close to human hair but not that shiny just like fake hair. It has soft waves which I prefer more than the curly type and it is easy to comb. I had to color my hair to match the hair extensions so that it won't look off.

Here is a before and after look.

It's not as thick as my past hair extension that I bought from another online shop but I like this one better. It looks natural and it is manageable. I loved how it gives volume to my hair and the extensions made me look glamorous. It has 5 clip wefts that holds it into place and it doesn't really give that much weight to my hair. It's easy to put on and is really secure. I think it's 22 or 25in long, it's so silky smooth.

Here is a closer look at my new clip on hair extensions.

My outfit this Sunday, 3 June 2012, is a white tank top from Forever 21 that I paired with my white floral skirt that I bought from a thrift store. I had a gray cardigan to cover up my arms because it's cold outside and we are going to church, I have to look decent. My shoes here are a pair of floral flats that my mum bought me. For my accessories, I just had a purple feather earring on my left ear and a treasure bottle necklace that I made myself.

For my make-up, it's just my go-to make-up, a pink blushy cheek with a winged eyeliner and pink lips. I also did my eyebrow with a reddish brown eyebrow pencil, I am really getting good at drawing my eyebrows on. I had to practice putting on eyebrows because I don't have any. I made my make-up simple because I don't want to look ever the top for church. It's just nice to dress up once in a while, it makes me feel pretty.

Flower Power ( 13 May 2012 )

It's Mothers' Day, happy mothers' day to all of the mums. We celebrated this day by going to church to hear mass and we ate at Jollibee Tagaytay for breakfast. We went there so that my grandmother will be able to stroll and smell the fresh cool breeze in Tagaytay. It really made her day, spending it with her two daughters and their families.

For today, I wore my fuchsia top by Folded and Hung and paired it with my floral skirt that I bought from a thrift store somewhere in Tagaytay last year. I wore my pink wedges by Parisian to finish the whole look. The accessories that I wore were my made-to-order mustache necklace by Anagon Collection and my pink button earrings from SM Accessories. I just wore minimal accessories because my skirt already has a busy print. ( Look at baby Jake posing with me. Such a cutie! c: )

For my make-up, first I drew my eyebrows ( which I perfected already, thanks to the Youtube gurus that I am subscribed to. ) with a brown pencil liner that I don't know what brand it is. For my eyeliner, I used my Nichido liquid liner which is really opaque and I really love it. I put on my Etude House Natural False Eyelashes and they stayed in place for quite a long time which is awesome. They made my eyes look fabulous and they really are easy to put on. I used a pink blush on for my cheeks from my Body Collection mini make-up palette. For my lips, first is I mosturized my lips with ym Maybelline New York Baby Lips Lip Balm in Smoothing Cherry and then I put on a sheer layer of my Revlon Color Burst Lip Butter in Cherry Tart and topped it off with an Avon Simply Pretty ColorBliss Lipstick in Pampering Pink.

I am so happy that I am able to dress up again and show it off here in my blog. I am having so much fun mixing and matching my clothes and also experimenting with my make-up. I am now more mature with my choices in clothes, I am getting old and I want to look womanly. I love my look and I want to learn more about fashion and make-up.

OOTD LOOKBACK : Pink Blink

This dress was one of the clothes that my mum had requested from her designer. It's a bit of a party dress, I love how it is loose on the top and how tight the skirt is. It's a bit short but there is no harm in showing off some legs right. My mum also has something similar to this but with print. I paired it with my Matthews peep-toed ankle boots and my embellished headband as an accessory.

This look was the beginning of my journey through fashion and I am loving every step of the way.
"The only rule is don't be boring and dress cute wherever you go. Life is too short to blend in."
-- Paris Hilton

OOTD LOOKBACK : The Grouch in Me

This look is what I normally wear since I started college. It's comfortable and simple to put together. This was my favorite shirt, it's Oscar the Grouch of Sesame Street and I bought it at SM Megamall Department Store. I have my white everyday denim by Bench and my white high-tops by Converse.

Whenever I am going out with friends, going to the mall with my family, going to school or church, this is what I normally wear. Well, not these specific items but you get my point. I was a bit of a tomboy back then but as I grew older, I managed to learn how to dress my age without forgetting comfort and style.

I missed having this body, I gained weight now because of laziness. I eat a lot these days, I was also stressed. Still I am doing my best to be able to go back to my original shape. Wish me luck!

OOTD : Office Girl

Put together an outfit that was based on what color my mum's outfit is. Since she was wearing a leopard print dress, my youngest brother Karl, my dad and me wore tan or khaki colored tops and my younger brother Tony wore black just to go along with the color of the day.

I had my over-sized made-to-order top in tan, with my black high-waisted skirt by Freeway and my favorite black ballerina flats by Untitled. I also had a multi-chained necklace by Celine (my mum's) and a silver connector ring by Genevieve Gozum.

I don' know why, but in most of my photos I always have this awkward positioning of my feet. I really am a weird girl.

OOTD : Kang Hae Na Inspired Look

I bought this vintage lace top from a thrift shop in Tagaytay when we were there and this is the first time that I wore it. I paired it with my Natasha skinny jeans by Anne Curtis and my Matthews peep toe shoes that has 4in heels that I can barely walk in. My mum chose those shoes for me, I was supposed to buy pumps then but she insisted that I should buy these instead. I then paired it with my vintage cat necklace from SM Accessories and black bubble ring that I bought from Anagon Collection.

I took photos of every step that I did to achieve my inspired look, had a great time doing it. This is me without the lace top and I just finished doing my hair and make up. Sporting my half updo, a signature hairstyle of Kang Hae Na. And Kudos to Xteener for a wonderful hair tutorial. (sorry for my messy room :P)

And here's a shot of me all dolled up and ready to go. For the make up process, I started putting on Ponds Pinkish White Cream and layered it with my Maybelline BB Cream. I blotted Careline Oil Control Face Powder to set the BB Cream using a buffer brush. For my eyes, I used Nichido Mineral Kohl Eyeliner Pencil in Onyx and layered it with my Ever Bilena Liquid Eyeliner to make it last longer. I used Avon Twin Face Duo Blush in Hot Pink and dabbed it on the apples of my cheeks. And to finish it off I put on NYX Round Lipstick in Doll on my lips and topped it off with Maybelline Shiny.Licious Fruity Gloss in Chamallow Lolly Pink to make my lips looks plumper.

And here is the final look, with the accessories that I have on. I love my look today.

I love her feisty personality and her awesome fashion sense. Her character shows an image of a strong woman who is in control and fashionable, very fashionable indeed. This is my inspiration, Ms. Yoon Eun Hye as Kang Hae Na. I wish I had a butler too. hehe.

OOTD : Vintage Lullaby

Decided to put together a vintage outfit. I did my own make up and I am impressed with how I’ve improved a lot. I have been getting a lot of nice comments about my look and I want to share it to all of you now.

This is my look and was taken when we were on our way home. We also went to my godchild’s house to visit my grandmother and other relatives.

This is the whole look with the accessories that I have on to pull it all together. I had a Victorian Vintage Ring that I bought online from Anagon Collection. I love it so much and it really added glam to my whole outfit and it was one of my first purchases from her shop and Ana never fails to impress me with her items. My top is from Camp Beverly Hills and I had it since I was in high school and am glad that it still fits me. This balloon dress is vintage and we bought it at a vintage store at Tagaytay when we were there, lucky for me it’s the only stock they have (yey me!). The wedges that I have are by Parisian Jr in size 5 at SM for a bargain. I love bargain deals, saves me a lot of money but with quality of course. I will never forget my hair extensions that I don’t get to wear that often, I bought it from Hair Extensions Gallore. I did a Taylor Swift inspired messy side bun.

And of course this is me with my new wallet that I really love. It’s pink and sparkly. My mum bought it for me as gift for my ‘hard work’ at her office on a Saturday.

OOTD : Striped Love ( 10 November 2011 )

We just came home from church when this photo was taken. It's our weekly obligation to go to church together as a family and as usual we all go there with a theme. My mom decides what color scheme our shirts will be and this week it's black and white (because she was wearing a polka dotted dress). She chose a black & white striped off shoulder top (which i adjusted because I don't want to be noticed in a bad way in church) and black jeggings.

I did my make-up, with a happy tap on my shoulder, I think I did a pretty good job. I've been putting on making for quite some time now and I think (even my mum) that I am getting good at it. Thanks to the make-up tutorials that my fave make-up gurus are posting and I have seen quite a lot of those tutorials and taking notes on their techniques and good to know make-up guidelines.

This was taken on our way home from church. Playing with my phone's cam again, I am so a cam whore. :3

I also play with my accessories which are mostly online finds from my trusted shops. I found fabulous finds online and I always have awes from family and friends when am wearing these accessories.

Kudos to Trinkets Royale Manila for my necklace and bracelet. Love these two items to death! (sorry for the wrinkly hands, I hate them. :p) Not forgetting my Hello Kitty Ring that my mum bought for me.

And my trusty flat shoes embellished with chains.

Well that's pretty much it, my outfit. It's not what I normally wear to church but it's not bad to dress up for it right. Have a great day y'all! c:
