Part four.
Nathan helped Ash on his bike. She was a natural, she was able to hop on it and got comfortable. She then held on to the handle bars behind her. This was how she always rides motorcycles ever since.
"You should be putting your arms around me, not there," he said.
Surprised by Nathan's reaction, she let go of the handle bars and slowly wrapped her arms around his stomach. He still smells like candy, just as sweet as his scent was last night. She leaned her head on his back and enjoyed the cool breeze on her face.
A couple of meters away from Ash's apartment, Nathan held her hand, kissed it and balanced the bike with the other. They were going to her favorite café nearby, but she wished to go further and linger in his scent all night long. The motorcycle suddenly stopped and she had to let go.

"We're here, let me help you get down," Nathan balanced the bike so that Ash can climb down.
"Thank you babe," she replied.
They held hands and went inside. The place wasn't too crowded so they were able to choose their seats. It was in the corner of the room next to a window and they sat next to each other.

While reading the menu, Nathan cannot stop staring at her. She was breathtaking and her simplicity makes her standout in the crowd.
What did I do to deserve someone like you Ash?
She smiled at him, "Aren't you gonna order babe?"
"Sorry, I got too engrossed staring at you," he said.
Blushing, Ash ignored this with a smile and decided to order for both of them. When the waiter came, they placed their orders and started chatting.
Nathan told her everything that happened during his interview. How anxious he was when he arrived and was afraid that he would fail. This was his first job interview in a while and he wasn't confident enough but thinking about what the future would bring once he lands this position, everything will be smooth sailing from there.
"I told you, you will do just fine. You don't have to worry about failing. You had training and you have a pleasing personality, not to mention your grade A killer smile babe. No wonder they let you pass the interview," Ashley bragged.
Recalling his past, he had never met someone just like her. She was timid, yes, but the way she carries herself with grace makes him fall for her all over again. The trust and confidence that she has for him lifts him up to cloud 9. This is the type of woman a man wants to marry.
"Babe, you okay?" Ashley asked.
"I am so sorry babe. I just. Uhm. I cannot thank you enough for all of the advise and pep talk that you've given me. Since last night, I can't stop thinking about how lucky I am that I met someone like you," he exclaimed.
This date was starting off great. Their food came and they shared it. It is not a heavy meal like last night but was a wholesome meal nonetheless. She ordered pasta with a side of garlic bread and pink lemonade. This was the meal that she orders every time she visits the place. They enjoyed the food and each other's company.
Halfway through their conversation, Ashley started ranting about how she feels working with the people around her. There are times when she just wants to cry and go home because of how heavy she feels. She cannot handle the situation any longer and was too shy to let Tess and Cy know about all of this.
Holding her hand, Nathan stopped her from talking before anything happens to her.
"Whatever it is you're feeling, it's valid. You don't have to keep it to yourself. If you need someone to talk to and to comfort you, I am here, always, ok babe?" he assured her.
Feeling her eyes moist, she smiled at him and he kissed her on her forehead.

Ashley's place
After their meal, they decided to hang out at Ashley's place for a while. This will be the first time that any man has seen her place. She was into collecting knick knacks from her travels and a couple of succulents too. This was a small apartment but she was able to arrange it well that is why it looked larger than what it was intended to.
"Welcome to my humble abode babe. I apologize if the smell is too overpowering, I love burning candles here. I didn't think that the last one that I lit would leave its scent until now," she explained.
"It smells nice in here. Have I told you that I love the smell of peppermint?" he smiled.
"For real? OMG! That is my favorite smell ever, well, of course I like the way you smell too," she giggled.
She showed Nathan her collection and told the stories behind each purchase. She also introduced him to the five succulents that she has. Yes, she named her plants and he thinks that it was an adorable idea. One of her plants stood out to him.
"You named this one Bubbles? That is so cute," he said.
"I mean, doesn't she look like a Bubbles to you right?" she giggled.
They talked about her collection, where she purchased them and how she came up with the names. She also mentioned about her plans on not accepting the promotion because it may take its toll on her mental health. He listened and understand everything that she said. This was her time to be vulnerable and he was ready to embrace it for her. She has never felt so safe and secure in her life. Whenever he felt like Ashley was gonna have a panic attack, he hold her hand, kisses it and lets her breathe to calm her nerves.
A quarter past 10 in the evening, time went by so fast. They enjoyed the company and shared a lot about one another. Seeing themselves this close, it was like euphoria, inch by inch, their lips touched and they kissed so passionately that it felt like heaven was suddenly on earth.
He held her closer, feeling the spine of her back, cherishing every passing second. She caressed his face and gently pulled his hair. The heat from their bodies warming the cold evening. Elated and caught in the moment the couple unlatched and looked into each other's eyes.
"I love you, more than you'll ever know," Nathan said.
"And I love you more than anything in this world," she answered.
This was just the beginning of their forever together.
