After a night full of bliss, it was a new day for Nathan. It was unusual for him to wake up this early but he had to. He is scheduled to go on an interview today for a job. This was his chance to work and prove himself to his girl. Ashley has been working for the same company for two years now and is up for a promotion. He cannot just wait for a miracle to happen, he needs to look for a better job rather than just accepting part time gigs here and there.

"I need to ace this interview, save, get promoted and start my own business with Ash," he whispered while trying to drag himself up from his bed.

Before picking out his outfit, he took his phone and sent Ashley a text.

04:30:32 AM

Good morning princess, it's time for you to eat breakfast and prepare for work. Eat well so that you have enough energy for the whole shift. I love you so much babe.

He didn't mention today's trip because he wanted to surprise her. This is a hard feat but he needs to calm his nerves and seize the day. Claiming to the universe that he will get the job, he hopped in the shower and manifested positivity for this day. 

After preparing and devouring the large breakfast that he made for himself and picking out the perfect fit for his interview, he checked the clock and saw that it was too early for him to leave. He loves motorcycles, he wasn't able to mention that to Ashley but he decided to keep it to himself for now and introduce this side of him to her soon.

He was able to buy his own motorcycle by saving from his part time jobs. He had to leave it at the restaurant because he wanted to walk with Ashley to the park. She didn't hear him coming then because she was on her headphones.

A quarter past 6 when he decided to dress up and prepare for the interview. He took the bus and arrived on time. His schedule was at 8 o'clock and being early is a plus points for applicants. The travel was an hour long but it was worth it because it is near Ash's office.

There were two people before Nathan was called for his turn. It was a casual interview in the far end of the cafe. He started with introducing himself and showing his certificate when he underwent training to be a barista. This was a couple of months ago because he was influenced by a friend who wanted to open up a cafe but wasn't able to push through with it.

"Hi Nathan Brookes, good morning. Can you tell me something about you that isn't on your resume," the manager asked.
"Good morning sir, well, to start off, thank you for this opportunity and to answer your question..." he then shared everything that was relevant to the job and made sure that he was confident and honest about what he is saying.

The interview went well and he was confident that he will get the job. After thanking the manager for the opportunity to apply for this position, he went home. Checking his pockets, he had a mini heart attack when his phone is nowhere to be found. He immediately hopped on the bus and made his way to his apartment. Thank goodness there was no traffic.

Where could my phone be? I cannot lose it now.

Once he arrived in his apartment, at around 10:58 AM, he checked every nook and cranny looking for his phone. He lifted every possible piece of furniture just to look for it. Luckily, he was able to find it in between the two cushions in his sofa. Hoping for an update from his interview, he saw an icon of an envelope on his phone.

Hello Nathan. This is Kimberley from Coffee Star Co. We were able to review your credentials and insights from our interview with you earlier. I would like to congratulate you for passing and inform you that your training will start on Monday. Be here at 8 in the morning. Looking forward to seeing you on Monday and welcome to our team.

Last night, he met the girl of his dreams, today he landed a job with just one interview. This year will be an amazing year and this is just the beginning. He then sent a text to Ash so that she won't worry about him and to let her know about the good news. It has been a while since his last text to her.

12:16:00 PM

Hi babe, I hope that you are doing fine at work. I am sorry for the late update, I just got done with an interview and guess who landed a job at a cafe nearby. I will be starting my training on Monday and I cannot wait to tell you all about what happened today.

He waited for her response and then went to sleep, it was a tiring but fulfilling morning.

"Wait who goes there," his phone's loud alarm startled him awake. He almost forgot that he will be meeting Ashley once she gets home from work.

What should I wear.

The thought of seeing her again gives him butterflies. He never thought of meeting someone like her, she was special. He wanted this date to be as memorable as last night's was. He decided to wear his favorite leather jacket since he will be fetching her with his bike. Hoping that she will be fine with riding his motorcycle, he tied his shoelaces and when his way to Ashley.

It was 5 past 7 o'clock when he arrived at her place. He was a little late but he hasn't received anything from her since his last text. He rang her door bell, looked back at his back and imagined how Ash would react when she sees it. There was a 3 minute wait when the door cracked open.

He looked around to see Ash all dolled up just for him. Nathan cannot help but admire this beautiful creation in front of him.

"What took you so long princess?" he said while flashing his whitest smile at her.
