♫ Yeah you make me feel like, I've been locked out of heaven... ♫
Well this is a first, a random post just to update you about what is going on with my life during my first week on self-quarantine. This worldwide crisis is taking its toll on my mental health but I am hanging on with the help of my family, friends and my boyfriend. I will be sharing my daily adventures with everyone.
Day 1: March 16, Monday
I woke up late today since I am on leave and was planning on hanging out with my boyfriend. Later in the day, there was an announcement that employers can cancel work tonight because of the national lockdown. I went out at 7 in the evening and waited for him at the mall for an hour. He was going home from Pampanga and got stuck in a checkpoint and got home at 1 in the morning of the next day. Plans got cancelled and decided to just stay home and rest. I am not addicted to Kirkland's trailmix. My brothers got addicted to watching K-Dramas.
Day 2: March 17, Tuesday
Chan and I's first month together but we can't be together because of the local lockdown ordinance. I stayed home, checked with my team for updates about wfh (work from home) advisories. My anxiety was in an ultimate high but Chan was able to calm me down. I was able to finish one blog post that I was scheduled to do and started watching Marion's Kitchen on Youtube.
Day 3: March 18, Wednesday
Decided to download TikTok to see what all the fuss is about and regretted the decision after. I was able to make four TikToks that day and binge watched a truckload of videos on there. Still anxious about everything that is happening but am keeping my hopes up. I talked to one of my favorite cousins about my boyfriend and we both shrieked at how dream Chan is.
Day 4: March 19, Thursday
Today marks the 32nd wedding anniversary of my parents Jing and Efren. Shelves have been placed in the room for more storage space for clothes. My mum, Karl and I went to the office to get my equipment for me to wfh. I got so excited and got everything setup (after sanitizing everything) once we got home. Did I mention that I ate a lot today? Not sad about it though. I also got bored and decided to brush out the knots in our dogs' hair, they hated me for it. My mother discovered K-Drama and cannot be bothered when she is watching her show.
Day 5: March 20, Friday
Got ready for the scheduled wfh but still no updates but I was able to finish two slices of pizza and a bottle of coffee. Made a ton of TikToks today, which I am not proud of. I also finished a liter and a half of water and it is just 3 o'clock in the morning MNL time.
These are just basic updates that I have during the first five days of isolation from the world. Being an introvert is a plus during this time. I just wish I have the will power to do more things than normal. hahaha
Thank you for reading! Keep safe, wash your hands and have faith!
