Months passed and their relationship became stronger and stronger. There were struggles along the way but there was nothing they cannot overcome together. They made sure that communication, understanding, time and space were a part of their relationship to keep it going. They had a few arguments here and there but nothing that they couldn't work out together.
Since he has the bigger apartment, Ashley moved in with him when they reached their sixth month together. He continued his child support for Natashia, she was growing to be a beautiful little girl. Nathan was promoted to manager at the cafe just a couple of weeks ago. This was adding to his list of good experiences recently. Things are going so well, claiming that this year will be amazing is finally paying off. Positivity above all else makes things go as smooth as they could be.

A surprise
He was supposed to give this to her went they went to the amusement park on their first month. They enjoyed being together that he forgot to take out the rings and hand it to her. It is a good thing that he kept it safe with him and didn't lose it despite the fact that they rode extreme rides that day. He also made sure that he wore jeans with zipped pockets to make sure that the rings won't just fly out of his pants while on rides.
That was the first ride that they went to and it was the most extreme of all the rides at the park. He saw how excited Ash was to go and wanting to impress his girl, he went with her. The happiness in her eyes is more than enough validation that it is worth it. She loved to feel adrenaline rush into her every muscle, it makes her feel alive.
They ate cotton candy, took photos, walked along the tree lined park, took photos, bought matching shirts, took photos, ate ice cream, took photos, rode almost all of the rides there and did I mention that they took photos? Ash has a thing for photography and she made sure that she has as much shots as possible because she is planning on making an album of every place that they went to. Nathan thought of this as a way to preserve their memories and he was into it.
Nathan's Place
Back to recent time, on their 7th month together, they both decided to have scheduled leaves today until tomorrow and just stay home. Nathan offered to cook for them and was planning on having an Italian dinner tonight. He listed down what he will be cooking and made sure that the ingredients are all ready for preparation. Their pantry was stocked during the weekend so all they had to do is cook it.
Watering her succulents, which she took with her from her apartment, Ashley was in deep thought. Sensing that his girlfriend might be stressed, Nathan approached her and hugged her from the back, caressing her arms and making her feel that he is just here for her.
"You ok babe? Something bothering you," he asked.
Lingering in his scent and embrace, she answered, "Am fine, I was actually worried about Tess. She hasn't been herself lately and she won't tell me nor Cy what is wrong. They've been like sisters to me and I can't even help her,"
"Ash, she is not your responsibility. I get it, she is your friend but I think that she needs time and space to heal. She needs her time alone, give it to her. I know that whatever it is that's happening, she will overcome it. She is a strong woman, like you, so don't think about it too much, okay" he made her face him and kissed her forehead.
"Is there anything that you couldn't fix Mr. Nathan Brookes?"
This made Ash feel better. He's right, knowing Tess and how tenacious she is, she will overcome whatever it is that's bothering her lately. Ash just needs to let her friend breathe and for sure they will be able to talk to her once everything is okay, whenever that may be.

Nathan's Place
After having lunch, which was kimchi fried rice and bulgogi, they started cleaning up the apartment. This was a daily activity that they do. They help each other pick out curtains and sheets to use. They even have the same taste in color palettes. Ash is a Leo and Nathan is a Libra and it was said that these two signs are a powerful match, soulmates even.
"Well, the place looks clean and I loved the curtains that you hang babe," Nathan mused.
"It made the room look bigger and brighter right?"
"It sure does."
"All is good! I should go wash up, I want to rest before having a dinner date with my boyfriend,"
"I bet your boyfriend is handsome eh?"
"He sure is," she strode towards the bathroom.

They started to sleep in one bed but with their back against each other. Nathan still wants to show her respect and not take advantage of the fact that they live together now. Their families are aware of this arrangement and were understanding about it. He was so grateful that Ash agreed to move in and build a stronger bond with her.
Out of habit, Ash always burns a candle to calm her before sleeping. Today's candle smells of fresh trees that reminded her of their picnics together. This didn't help her anxiety, she cannot seem to make herself fall asleep. She needs to know the answer to the question in her head and then can she be at peace and catch some Zs.
He was almost falling asleep when he felt movement from the other side of the bed. It seems like Ash is having trouble sleeping and he wondered why. While waiting for her to let him know what is happening, he kept his eyes close.
She stirred and faced him, "babe."
"Yes?" he faced her.
Sitting up, "How much do you love me?"
Surprised, he sat up and scooted next to her, "I love you as much as I love breathing to live."
"That's, that's deep Nathan, I don't know what to say,"
"Never question that babe, I will never get tired of loving you,"
To make her feel at ease, he touched her face and kissed her. She let go of her inhibitions and let him pull her closer.

Kingdom Hearts Park
"Are you sure that you want to ride this? I might lose my head with all the spinning that will happen," Nathan said.
"Well, are you scared? You told me that you are into rides too," she chuckled.
"I am not scared, uhm, just anxious I guess,"
"You are scared. Don't worry, I will be sitting next to you. I will hold your hand until the ride comes to and end, ok babe?"
That was the first ride that they went to and it was the most extreme of all the rides at the park. He saw how excited Ash was to go and wanting to impress his girl, he went with her.
