Adventure Time: Villa Jovita - a Bali Inspired Resort

Cheers to a new adventure!

You only live once so travel and enjoy life to the fullest. The motto of every millennial nowadays but travelling, especially internationally, can cost a ton of money. Bali, Indonesia is a go-to getaway for people who wants to unwind and experience nature at its finest. My friend and I were able to find a place similar to the one in Ubud, Bali, where they have a picturesque view while you are on a swing feeling the wind brushing through your hair. This was last September so this is such a super late post. I present to you, Villa Jovita in Agoncillo Batangas.

Villa Jovita is a spring water resort that is covered in bamboo and is a hidden oasis. A quick getaway from the metro is what we needed and the resort gave us all the Bali feels that we needed. The cool breeze and the trees helped calm our senses and made us forget the stressful work week. There were cows and goats in the farm below the resort and seeing them made me miss the feeling of being with my late grandmother in the province.

I haven't been to any resort similar to this and it was breathtaking. The place is still undergoing some renovations and improvements. They have a couple of pools and they vary in depth and height as well. The water was cold but is soothing to the skin. This is such a perfect place for family and even for prenup shoots.

I just love how blue the spring water is

The resort has certain spots where you can take your photos or just relax in them. There were three nests, varying in size and height, an upright nest and a swing that you can ride in with a harness for safety. The swing in Ubud’s height varies from 10m to 78m above the ground whereas the one in Villa Jovita is around 8m only, or I may be wrong. The resort is quite new that is why there are unfinished parts but once it has been fully made up I will definitely come back.

We were able to roam around the resort and spent some time swimming and taking tons of photos. We opted to go for a day tour just to try. There are a couple of the spring swimming pools that varied in shape and how deep they were. There is also a man-made rock falls in the deepest pool that they have. The whole place was so picturesque that you would want to stay there and spend the night. Too bad we weren't able to catch the sunset because that would have been quite an experience.

HOW WE GOT THERE:

We took a bus (JAM) at Buendia Bus Terminal bound to Lemery. (Travel Time = 3 Hours, Fare = 176)

That was all for my adventure, with my awesome friend, and I am looking forward to more travels with her and some of my friends as well. I wish to go back to this place once everything has been fully renovated and am looking forward to more photos and time spent there.

Do you have any interesting places in mind where I can go to? I want to travel as much as I can because (it may be cliche but) YOLO!

Thank you for all the love and support. Have a great weekend!

“Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.”
